Your birth chart is a snapshot of all of the planets as they were positioned about your birth at the exact time and precise location that you were born. It includes the Sun, Moon, rising sign, and all of the other planets that are divided into certain zodiac signs placed in specific "houses". Think of it like this: your horoscope is the climate forecast while the weather system is your chart. There are a LOT of aspects in how we read a birth chart, and it tells so much more about you besides your sun sign.

It can explain why all of your life, you (as a Capricorn sun) might be an emotional mess sometimes just like the Pisces in your life, or why these situations that keep showing up in your life around dating and relationships are the planets talking about the challenges you are meant to work through. The 3 most important areas that are in your chart are your Sun (your consciousness or ego in this world), Moon (how you feel within yourself and handle yourself on earth!), and your Rising sign (how others see you and what lessons you are meant to learn!). The process of deciphering your birth chart commences with creating one. For this, you will need the specific information below: Your date of birth (month, day and year) Your precise birth time (consult your birth certificate) Your birth location (city, ideally hospital or district) The birth time is important and your chart may not be accurate without it, as it dictates your ascending sign and houses. Most chart generators will use 12:00 PM if no time is provided, but this renders your houses incorrect. If locating your precise birth time proves challenging, worry not, you can acquire other information from your chart.

Utilise free sites such as Cafe Astrology, Astro. Com or the Co-Star app. These are accurate and easy to use and generate your chart for no cost. After inputting your details, a wheel diagram adorned with symbols, numbers and lines will appear before you.
